Ben Krauss is a New York-based composer and arranger whose work spans concert music and musical theater.
On Broadway, Krauss served as Associate Orchestrator for The Mystery of Edwin Drood (2012) and contributed additional vocal arrangements to Pirates! The Penzance Musical (2025). He has worked extensively as an orchestrator and arranger, collaborating with artists including Kristin Chenoweth, Darren Criss, and Donna McKechnie, and has orchestrated numerous benefit performances for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS — including Broadway Backwards, the Easter Bonnet Competition, and the Red Bucket Follies.
An alumnus of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop as a composer, Krauss's original songs have been performed at venues including 54 Below, Joe's Pub, and The Duke on 42nd Street, and he regularly composes for the Brooklyn Children's Theatre.
Krauss is a member of the New York Choral Society and serves as Vocal Director at the Collegiate School in New York City. He holds a Master of Arts in Composition from Queens College (CUNY) and a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College, and continues his compositional studies through the Juilliard School Extension Program.
